Setup Guide

1. Create a GitHub Personal Access Token

  • Visit https://github.com/settings/tokens/new
  • Set a note/name: "BugShot"
  • Select scope: repo (Full control of private repositories)
  • Set expiration: Choose a long expiration period
  • Click "Generate token" and copy it immediately (you won't be able to see it again)

2. Install the Shortcut

  • Tap "Get Shortcut" above to install BugShot via iCloud
  • When prompted during installation, paste your GitHub Personal Access Token

3. Start Reporting Bugs

  • Browse to a website that's registered with your GitHub projects
  • Tap the Share button in your browser (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, etc.)
  • Select "BugShot to GitHub Issues" from the share sheet
  • Add a title, description and submit to create a GitHub issue with screenshot

Note: BugShot only works on websites that have been mapped to your GitHub repositories. Contact your administrator to register new websites.
